There won't be new Doctor Who today because of Eurovision. Bah, humbug!

Russell T. Davies is leaving (not entirely unexpectedly) Doctor Who afther the S4 and he will be replaced by Steven Moffat. This is excellent news. Moffat is by far the best Who writer (he penned The Empty Child/Doctor Dances, The Girl in the Fireplace and Blink and he will have another two-parter this year) and him becoming the exec producer was something everybody secretly wished but didn't really dare to hope for.

This makes me really excited about the next year's specials and S5. I have been enjoying S4 so far (Donna is fantastic) but the show is showing signs of becoming routine. I think some fresh blood will do it good.

This seems to be going rounds again.

Don't you just hate it when you are reading a fic and it has a cool premise and it's well written but then somewhere in the middle it starts to fall apart and ends flat and leaves the disappointing aftertaste of wasted potential :-(
